Where are you based and are you willing to travel to my wedding?

I am based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I photograph the Seattle-Tacoma area but am always willing to drive to a beautiful location in Washington state. I also am always ecstatic to travel anywhere in the world to capture your special moments!
*Travel fees may apply for locations that are more than two hours from Bellingham, WA

How much do you charge for wedding photography and what comes with the wedding package?

My wedding price packages start from $2500. An elopement or an intimate wedding is $1,400.
The price packages are set based on how many hours of coverage are needed for your event. Each package will include me as your photographer, the digital images that will be provided in an online gallery, and a USB stick with the same images. Some packages already come with a second photographer and some come with an engagement session. If you are interested in adding a second photographer or adding an engagement later, we can work that out too!

*By Summer of 2019, all wedding packages will come with a second photographer

What if I only want engagement photographs?

Engagements are $450 per session.
*Travel fees may apply for locations that are more than two hours from Bellingham, WA

What is your style?

I specialize in outdoor weddings as I am both a wedding photographer AND a landscape photographer. I truly believe that there is nothing better and more pure than photographing individuals in the great outdoors where there is such natural beauty to be found. It enables me to tell their stories in a real and heartfelt way. Generally I also prefer shooting in natural light, and I seek adventure and spontaneity. I also specialize in candid moments that arise in the priceless moments that will happen during the day. However, I am adaptive and will prioritize serving your vision. When you hire me, your story is my goal. I especially enjoy working in a candid and journalistic style, where the emotion and meaning of an image is raw and heartfelt. In addition, I really enjoy working to craft aesthetically pleasing portraits. My main goal is to make your vision and personality the driving factor in my work. In many ways I have the same goals when I am shooting landscapes. I work to capture the story and essence of a place just as I strive to do with people. I look for moments that are rare or once in a lifetime and work to capture their essence so that they can be shared with friends, family, and the world while conveying the beauty, individuality, and story of the person and/or place. I work with each client on a personal basis and strive to create work that we both can be proud of.

Can we talk to you before we book?

I almost always require this from all of my clients!

Sometimes a photographer might have the right photos you are looking for, but because you will be spending most of your day with your photographer always in the background, you would want to find a professional who will also be the right fit for the both of you! This is why I always highly recommend a brief consultation or meeting before any final bookings. I am available to meet with you over coffee in person. At times,  Skype or Facetime will work too!
This is also the reason why I encourage engagement sessions. This will help us to get comfortable with each other in preparation for your big day!

Will you be available to help us in creating our timelines, photography checklists, etc.?

Yes! As my client, I encourage you to contact me as needed during your wedding planning. I can help with a general photography timeline and assist in helping you come up with your photographic needs during your day!

Do you do other types of photography?

Aside from weddings and engagements as well as landscape photography, I have also photographed in various industries. I've done model portraits, corporate functions, festivals (Photography Team Lead of the Bay Area Book Festival), public events, car shows, and more. However, I rarely do event and model photography anymore as my focus is on weddings, but if you are interested, I am more than happy to speak with you!

What are some of your favorite places?

National Parks have a special place in my heart (and my camera!) Some of my favorites are Zion National Park in Utah, Yosemite National Park in California, and Mt. Rainier National Park in Washington state.
